Any conference worth it’s salt today must have its obligatory #tag and unsurprisingly the MRS Social Media Conference was no different. Somewhat comically the #BSMD (Big Social Media Debate) tag was frequently interspersed with tweets relating to the rather different #BDSM (caution NSFW). Whilst the Market Research industry has often been accused of self flagellation an outright association with Sado-Masochism was perhaps taking things too far… Nevertheless this certainly made for some interesting reading when checking the twitstream over lunch. Taking the S&M references out of the mix though, the themes of the day were all rather positive.
